Labasa soccer team striker Roy Krishna could become the second footballer from Fiji to play a professional level soccer in overseas.

Krishna has been invited to spend two weeks with Wellington Phoenix to get a taste of a professional footballing environment.

He will join the Wellington-based Hyundai A-League club from May 5th and coach Ricki Herbert said Krishna has a bright future as a young talented footballer who has so far done exceptionally well at Waitakere United and for Fiji.

Former Ba soccer striker Esala Masi was the first from Fiji to play professional level soccer in Australia.

Meanwhile in the English Premier League, Manchester United is through to the Champions League final.

United this morning defeated Barcelona 1-0 in front of their home crowd in the second leg of the semifinal.

Paul Scholes was the hero for the United side scoring the only goal of the match in the 14th minute of the first half.

United will now play the winner of Chelsea and Liverpool match tomorrow morning.
