Fiji soccer’s wonder boy, Roy Krishna is certain to be part of the Vodafone Fiji Under 23 team that will play in the Rio Olympics in August next year.

The President of Fiji Football Association, Rajesh Patel confirms they will make sure that Krishna goes with the team if he is available.

All athletes participating in the final competitions of the Rio 2016 Olympic Football Tournament must be born on/or after 01 January 1993 with the exception of a maximum of three over‑age players who may be included in the official list of players.

This will allow Fiji to take three overage players.

Patel has also not ruled out the possibility of hiring the services of former socceroos, Frank Farina again who guided Fiji in the recent FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Patel has revealed that $25,000 will be given to the team for qualifying for the Olympics while another $25,000 will be given if the side wins gold in Papua New Guinea.

Patel says he is proud that under his leadership, Fiji has qualified for two World events which never happened in the history of Fiji soccer.
