Kotobalavu to add attacking option
Kotobalavu was in coach Iliesa Tanivula's team that won the Hong Kong 7s in 2009 where he team up with Jerry Burotu and Apisai Nayabo in the forwards.
Tanivula will now have the opportunity of using him either to start or come in as an impact player.
Also it has been confirmed that first choice play maker Ilai Tinai will not play in Las Vegas this weekend as he is yet to recover from a stomach bug that affected him.
With Tinai ruled out Captain Emosi Vucago and will share the player maker position with Peni Gaunimeke.
Fiji takes on Canada in the opening pool game on Sunday at 7.52am.
Meanwhile, Current IRB 7s series points leaders England will be without the services of fijian Isoa Damu for this weekend’s USA 7s.
Coach Ben Ryan said think the absence of is a big loss for England after he injured his shoulder again.
Damu played a crucial part helping England to reach the final against New Zealand last Saturday where they lost 29 14.
England is in Pool A with Argentina, Guyana and France.
