South Sydney Rabbitohs and Vodafone Fiji Bati hooker Apisai Koroisau says Issac Luke has been a huge help to his career but is now planning to repay the New Zealand international by taking his place on a permanent basis.

This comes after Koroisau has been named again in the starting line up to face the Penrith Panthers this weekend.

Luke is likely to be sidelined for at least another six weeks and 22 year old Koroisau has been more prominent in his first two games against the Canberra Raiders and the St George Illawarra.

Rabbitohs fullback Greg Inglis has tipped Koroisau to one day succeed Luke in the NRL.

The Rabbitohs will take on the Panthers at 9.40pm this Friday.
