Fiji Bati winger Marika Koroibete will leave for Australia this Friday to join his West Tigers club as they prepare for the NRL season.

Fiji National Rugby League General Manager Tomi Finau said Koroibete’s visa has come through.

Koroibete failed to return for the Tigers preseason training on Monday.

He was due to return from extended leave granted after playing for the Vodafone Fiji Bati in the World Cup in November but Koroibete incompletely applied for his visa which delayed his departure.

Koroibete sent a text message to Tigers coach Michael Potter on Monday to inform him of the delay, saying Australian Immigration was waiting for a copy of his private healthcare policy before approving a new visa.
