The Fiji Labour Party believes that the Interim Government is right in saying that it is too early for Fiji to hold new elections.

Party's President, Jokapeci Koroi has strongly supported the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama's speech at the 62nd UN General Assembly New York, in which he said Fiji needs more time to hold new elections.

Koroi said negative international interference into Fiji's affairs is not helping either for a quick return to democracy.
