A Koronivia priest and member of the advisory team that prepared the list of those people who needed food rations has refuted claims that people who received food rations were not affected.
Pundit Shanil Maharaj said he surveyed the area with Advisory councilors and provided the report for rations depending on the findings.
According to Maharaj it was considered that people were affected in one way or the other.
It was revealed by Fijivillage that people in Koronivia, Nausori who have not been affected by recent floods received food rations last week.
This was confirmed by Korinivia residents who are part of close to 2,000 families who only had flood waters on the main road and received 10 cans of tin fish, 10 kg rice, 10 kg flour, 10 kg sugar, a packet of milk, peas and cooking oil.
DISMAC Principal Officer Patiliai Dobui earlier said that those who felt they did not need the rations were free to return it.
