“It’s not the end of the road for me.”
Those were the comments of Osea Kolinisau after he missed out on the Digicel Fiji Sevens 16 member squad selection for the NZ and USA Sevens.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Kolinisau said he has really worked hard to earn a spot in the team but the coaches are the ones who have the final say.
Kolinisau added he respects the decision as this will encourage him to train hard and make the team for the remaining tournaments.
Assistant coach Timoci Wainiqolo said they need some new and young players in the national team and that is why Kolinisau was not considered for the next leg of the IRB series.
The New Zealand Sevens kicks off in Wellington next Friday with Fiji taking on Scotland at 1.50pm in its first pool match.
Fiji then takes on Australia at 4.46pm and the last pool match is against Portugal at 8.34pm.
