Vodafone Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau is the first player to sign his contract for the 2014 and 2015 IRB World 7s Series.
This was confirmed to Fijivillage by Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan earlier today.
Ryan said Kolinisau was the first to sign from the three players that were given the contract and he is likely to name a total of 15 players.
According to Ryan the bottom tier will be paid $15,000, the middle tier will be paid $17,500 and the top tier will get $20, 000.
Ryan said apart from the salaries, each player will be paid daily allowances during tournaments.
Meanwhile, other players who have been given the contract and are yet to sign include lanky Pio Tuwai and Donasio Ratubuli.
The IRB World 7s Series kicks off in Gold Coast on the 11th of October.
