The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has been hit with a major set back as Captain Osea Kolinisau and Semi Kunatani have both been ruled out of their quarterfinal clash with England in the New Zealand 7s.
This is after the two were suspended for illegal tackles during the pool stages. At the minimum level they were supposed to be suspended for 4 games but due to good behavior it was brought down to 2.
Speaking from Wellington this morning, coach Ben Ryan says he is disappointed with the outcome of the ruling.
Ryan however said other players are available and are ready to step up.
Ryan also said they are focused on their quarterfinal today.
Fiji meets England at 12.49pm today in their cup quarterfinal clash.
Meanwhile, Fiji beat Australia in a hard fought 14‑5 clash of their last pool match of the New Zealand 7s yesterday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 12.28pm today, the Cup semi finals will be at 4.12pm while the Cup final kicks off at 7.55pm tonight.
