Tailevu Knights upset the Stallions 15 points to 10 to remain on course for the semifinal spot.
The Coastal Stallions just needed a win to advance into the semifinals but will now have to wait for other matches.
The other match saw Suva Highlanders beat Bligh Roosters by 23 points to 10.
Meanwhile in last night only match the Northern Sharks defeated the Western crusaders by 37 points to 25.
