The Kiwis are aiming for a rare back‑to‑back win over Australia in tonight's Four Nations rugby league final in Wellington, a feat they haven't accomplished since the 1950's.

Australia is without 12 players from last year's World Cup triumph, opening the tournament with a 30-12 loss to the Kiwis.

The Kiwis coach Stephen Kearny said the resurgent Kangaroos will be a very different proposition to that faced by his team last month.

The Kangaroos will face the Kiwis at 8.45 tonight.
