The Acting Interim Prime Minister, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau said the SDL National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai has remained negative in relation to anything that the Interim Government will do.

While speaking to FijiVillage, Ratu Epeli said Kinivuwai continues to focus on negative issues even after the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, announced that a forum involving all the political parties and key stakeholders should be held this month to address issues such as the reform of Fiji's electoral system.

Ratu Epeli stressed that the forum process will go ahead and everything will take place as planned.

He said the architect of the 1997 Constitution, Sir Paul Reeves will be in the country later this month and Ratu Epeli expects a meeting of the political leaders to take place.

Ratu Epeli said the Interim Government and the National Council for Building a Better Fiji want to involve everyone in this important process, including the SDL Party, and it is up to the SDL to take that step to be involved in the dialogue.

Meanwhile Ratu Epeli said yesterday that he has received formal communication from the President Ratu Josefa Iloilo confirming approval of the urgent call by the NCBBF to convene a forum.

Meanwhile, the SDL party said Ratu Josefa Iloilo had been ill advised by members of the NCBBF and the Interim Government.

SDL National Director Peceli Kinivuai said it was a concern that the highest office in the land had been manipulated by members of NCCBF and the Interim Government to deviate from the Constitution as the interim regime and the NCBBF are illegal and unconstitutional.
