The National Director of the SDL party, who was stopped from leaving the country on Sunday, still wants to know why he is on the Immigration Department blacklist and cannot leave Fiji.
Peceli Kinivuwai said it raises serious concerns that a person can be barred from going out of the country at any time with no clear explanations provided.
Kinivuwai said the SDL party was denied the right to air their concerns about what is happening in Fiji, in the meeting he was supposed to attend in Australia.
Police confirmede that the letter was not written by Commodore Esala Teleni and they are now investigating how the hand written letter was obtained by immigration officers which they used to stop Kinivuwai from leaving the country.
Immigration Director Commander Viliame Naupoto who had said that Kinivuwai has been blacklisted since early last year, will comment later today.
