The Southern Kings bounced back from their hammering by the Waratahs to beat the Highlanders 34-27.
Southern Kings Captain Luke Watson scored two tries to help his team become the only South African team to win in the round.
In other clash, the Waratahs beat the Stormers 21-15, Blues beat the Rebels 36-32, the Hurricanes defeated the Cheetahs 39-34, the Reds outclassed the Sharks 32-17 while the Chiefs beat the Force 22-21.
Looking at the points table, the Brumbies is leading with 41 points followed by the Chiefs at second place by 40 points while South African conference leader Bulls is at third place with 37.
