Kings Road closed to all traffic
Police have confirmed that the Kings Road between Korovou town and Rakiraki is closed to all traffic.
According to police, the Wailutua Bridge is under flood waters however this is receding as rainfall has stopped in the area.
In Wainibokasi, some areas in Rewa and Togatoga are still flooded and while levels have receded, police say levels are expected to rise again as high tide is expected.
Flood waters in other parts of Nausori have receded and all roads have been opened to all traffic however motorists have been advised to take precautions while using the roads this morning.
Works Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said work on clearing the major landslide at Savu Highway in Sawani continues, adding they will be able to provide access for motorists this morning.
Meanwhile, the flash flood warning has been called off with the Nadi Weather Office saying the trough of low pressure over the group is slowly moving away.
The Weather Office said some rain is expected however for the moment their flash flood warning is no longer in place.
The Weather Office said however, as it is a new month the spring tide or exceptionally high tide is what people need to look out for.
