A 30 year old man charged with four counts of causing death by dangerous driving, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, contravening to the conditions of the third party policy and failing to stop after an accident appeared in the Labasa Magistrates Court this afternoon.
It is alleged that on 22nd August, Mohammad Faiyaz caused the death of a 69 year farmer in Tuatua, Labasa when he hit the farmer with the ten wheeler truck he was driving.
Faiyaz was bailed on the sum of $3000 with strict bail conditions. He has been ordered to report to Labasa Police Station every Wednesday and Thursday and to surrender all his travel documents.
No plea has been taken yet.
The case has been adjourned to 23rd September.
