If the Vodafone Fiji 7s win back‑to‑back world series titles, then Kiwi Jeremy Manning will have had a hand in their success.

Coach Ben Ryan says the former Munster fullback will be assisting the team as kicking coach, an area they have improved greatly in recent times.

When Fiji won the Dubai Sevens, Vatemo Ravouvou landed 24 goals from 26 shots at goal and handled the restarts well.

The 92.3 percent success rate is a statistic Manning, an accomplished goalkicker himself, is proud of.

Ben Ryan says Manning will be joining them in New Zealand.

Manning says the Fiji Rugby Union has some long term plans in place to use him with both the men's and women's sides during the rest of the series and in the lead‑up to the Rio Olympics.

The team will have a warm up game tomorrow and a match against Canada on Thursday.

Fiji is in Pool B with Japan, Wales and Argentina in the Wellington tournament.

They will take on Japan at 11.36am this Saturday.

Fiji will face Wales at 2.38pm and take on Argentina at 5.46pm this Saturday.

The Cup quarters will start at 12.02pm Sunday, the Cup semis start at 4.27pm while the Cup final kicks off at 7.30pm.
