The failure of the Digicel Fiji Sevens Team to secure their kick offs and allowing their opponents to dictate play was the downfall in Dubai this morning.
Manager Sale Sorovaki did not make any excuses in the 24-21 loss to Samoa in the semifinal but believes that Fiji failed in certain aspects of the game, which allowed Samoa to beat them in the last minute of play.
Sorovaki added his boys know where they went wrong and they should get better when the tournament progresses to South Africa next weekend.
In the final, England came from behind to beat Samoa 29-21.
Looking at the other results, South Africa beat Australia 19-12 to win the Plate, Argentina beat Zimbabwe 21-0 in the Bowl final and Kenya thumped France 26-nil to take home the Shield.
The South Africa Sevens next weekend will see Fiji in Pool B with Samoa, Namibia and USA.
