Lawyers representing businessman Ballu Khan remain tightlipped on the reasons why they have withdrawn the case filed against the Police Commissioner and others for alleged assault and wrongful confinement of their client.

After the case was withdrawn this morning, Lawyer Tevita Fa refused to give the reasons why the decision was made, and referred all questions to lead counsel QC Peter Williams.

Williams when contacted this afternoon said he will call a press conference tomorrow in relation to Khan.

However, he confirmed the press conference is not in relation to the withdrawal of the case itself. When questioned by Village on whether they have managed to secure the approval from the Fiji Police Force to evacuate Khan for medical treatment abroad, he said we will find out tomorrow.

In court this morning, lawyer Tevita Fa revealed that there has been a change of plans as far as Khan's case is concerned and they want the case to be adjourned indefinitely and after consent between both counsels the case was withdrawn and no reasons were given.
