The case filed by businessman Ballu Khan against Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni and others in relation to the alleged assault by Police and the Military during his arrest and his alleged unlawful intention, has been withdrawn this morning.

When the case was called before High Court Judge Justice Davendra Pathik this morning, Khan's lawyer Tevita Fa revealed that there has been a change of plan as far as Khan's case is concern and they want the case to be adjourned indefinitely.

State Lawyer, Solicitor General, Christopher Pride then suggested that it will be better if the case is withdrawn completely at this stage which will allow Khan to bring his claims to court in the future if he wants to do so.

The case was then withdrawn after the consent of the two lawyers.

Speaking to reporters outside the court room, Fa refused to reveal the reason for the withdrawal of the case.
