More depressing news for Chiefs fans as their star halfback Tawera Kerr‑Barlow is out of rugby for five to six weeks with a broken hand.
Kerr‑Barlow picked up the injury during the win over the Hurricanes in Wellington last Saturday night.
Coach Dave Rennie confirmed he would be out until the June international window.
Kerr‑Barlow had also suffered a concussion against the Jaguares in round four and sat out games against the Force and Brumbies.
Meanwhile, wing James Lowe and centre Charlie Ngatai have both again missed selection to face the Sharks due to shoulder injuries.
The Chiefs face the Sharks at 7.35pm Friday.
