Although Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has made it clear that 2000 coup leader, George Speight will spend life in prison, the Opposition Leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa still says that Speight and others can be released from prison.
Ro Teimumu said good behavior should be considered for Speight and others like Ratu Timoci Silatolu and Shane Stevens.
Bainimarama said Ro Teimumu already knows that Speight’s death sentence has already been commuted to life.
He said it is a major concern that Ro Teimumu and others in the opposition continue asking about the release of Speight and others who really damaged the country and brought about racial hatred and division.
