Former Rewa and Labasa soccer player Kelepi Qaqa, Josaia Vusuya and Tevita Dakuituraga have been sentenced to life imprisonment after they were found guilty of the murder of 25 year old Epineri Waqawai in Nausori on the 18th of July, 2015.
Kelepi Qaqa was also found guilty of one count of act to cause grievous bodily harm.
Presiding judge Justice Salesi Temo has ruled that the three have to serve a minimum of 15 years in prison before a pardon may be considered by the President of Fiji.
The victim was assaulted by the three outside a nightclub in Nausori in the early hours of the 18th of July, 2015.
