Police are calling on the members of the public to keep matches and other flammable items away from children.
This after a 5 year old boy set alight his house while playing with matches in Nabua yesterday.
The son was seen playing with matches in the sitting room when it caught fire.
The sitting room of the house was destroyed by fire with all its contents while quick action by the family members prevented the fire from spreading to other rooms.
The National Fire Authority has also called on parents to be more vigilant as we approach the school holidays.
