Kean Best For Navy Commander Position
Bainimarama said Commander Kean was brought back to head the Navy because senior military officers believe he is the best person to develop the institution and also because of the successful yellow ribbon project initiated by the Prisons Commissioner to accept those who have committed crimes and are ready to change.
He told the soldiers that those people who are trying to compare Kean's reappointment and those who participated in the 2000 events are misleading the people as those who were involved in the 2000 coup have not come out publicly to the military and said that they were wrong in carrying out the act.
Commodore Bainimarama said these people want a repeat of what happened in 2000 and before 2006 and that is why the military will not accept them.
Bainimarama called on the SDL party to be humble and not to make a lot of noise.
He also told those who were involved in the 2000 events and have been released from Prison and are making comments regarding the military and the interim government that they will not be accepted to be part of government.
The Military head said these people are just trying to bring disunity within the army but they should not be moved and just listen to the words of their Commander.
