Former Supervisor of Elections Semesa Karavaki said the 2006 Elections Commission of Inquiry led by Suva lawyer GP Lala which claims to have found evidence of vote buying and vote rigging should be given to the police to investigate.
Karavaki said Inquiry which was initiated by the Fiji Human Rights Commission is just trying to discredit the 2006 general elections, which he still said was free and fair.
Commission head GP lala when contacted this afternoon on whether they will give the report to the police, said the report has just been released and will be assessed before a decision is made.
He said the evidence was gathered from people who made their submissions to the inquiry team and refused to comment further.
