Cowboys and Kangaroos prop James Tamou admits Australia was a little rusty in its opening hit-out but said he is looking forward to taking on Cowboys teammates Ashton and Tariq Sims when the Australian Kangaroos meet the Vodafone Fiji tomorrow morning.

Tamou says that with some players in the squad not having taken the field in seven or eight weeks, a warm-up game prior to meeting England “might not have gone astray”.

Apart from the Sims brothers, Tamou nominates Fiji’s speedy backline Akuila Uate, Marika Koroibete, Wes and Kevin Naiqama and Sisa Waqa as key threats to Australia.

Tamou added that back rower Jayson Bukuya is also a class act player to look out for and has the power of big Polynesian boys.

The Vodafone Fiji Bati will play the Australian Kangaroos at 9am Sunday.

Meanwhile in the game that just ended New Zealand beat France 48-0.
