The battle of the loose forwards in Christchurch promises to be an epic contest between returning Blues captain, Jerome Kaino against All Blacks captain and Crusaders number eight Kieran Read.
With the Crusaders losing their game last week, the Blues will be boosted by their first win and the leadership of Tana Umaga.
Kaino was suspended in their last pre-season clash against the Chiefs and is ready to lead his side tonight.
The Crusaders will host the Blues at 6.35pm tonight while the Waratahs will take on the Brumbies at 8.40pm.
