All Black Centre Richard Kahui has been named in the starting line for the Chiefs against the Blues this weekend.
Kahui slots for Tim Nanai Williams and will link up with Bundee Aki.
Co captain Craig Clark has also been ruled out and will be replaced by Michael Fitzgerald.
Halfback Augustine Pulu will start after Tawera Kerr Barlow broke his jaw and Brendon Leonard will make his timely return on the bench after recovering from a cheek injury.
The Chiefs take on the Blues this Saturday at 6.35pm
On Friday at 6.35pm this Highlanders host the Reds.
