The prospect of teaming with Sonny Bill Williams in the All Blacks midfield has given Richard Kahui an extra incentive for his test comeback against the Springboks this weekend.
Not that the 26 year old needed any encouragement.
Kahui has been in the international wilderness for 13 months with a second shoulder reconstruction and frustrating leg injuries.
Just to get back in the mix and have a belated crack at the Rugby World Cup squad is more than enough to have the big centre fizzing at the prospect of taking on the Boks.
The Springboks host the All Blacks on Sunday at 3am.
