The Kadavu Zone is boasting a good field of long distance runners in this year's annual Coca Cola Games meet that will be held next month.
Speaking to Fijivillage Sports, Zone Co-ordinator Moape Cama said that they are looking at bringing in a total of 30 athletes to the meet, most of them running in the 400 and 4*400 metres relay teams.
Cama adds that Kadavu is placing their bet on their 400m Gold Medallist, Venina Bani of Vunisea Secondary School, to defend her title again.
Cama adds that other schools should be aware of Bani's Senior Girls 4*400 meters relay team, as they are determined to break another record.
Meanwhile, the Kadavu Zone will be held on Friday at the Kadavu Provisional School and the zone champions is Vunisea Secondary School.
