The Bose ni Vanua of Kadavu has decided that they will not be accepting the invitation to be part of the Bose ni Turaga meeting scheduled next month.
Kadavu Provincial Council Chairman Ratu Varani Rayawa said the decision was relayed to the Council meeting after the twelve chiefs met on Wednesday, and they have decided to refrain from attending the meeting.
Meanwhile the Naitasiri Bose ni Vanua will be held on Tuesday next week to decide whether they will accept the invitation to attend the Bose ni Turaga Meeting.
The Tailevu Bose ni Turaga is also expected to meet sometimes next week to decide on the matter. Bau High Chief Ratu Epenisa Cakobau said he is unaware whether any of the Mataiwelagi family members have received an invitation.
The meeting will be held on the 16th and 17th of next month at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks.
