The Kadavu Shipping Company is seriously exploring ways to make a new start come 2008 after losing millions of dollars due to the MV the Bulou ni Ceva which is permanently stucked in the reefs of Rotuma.
Kadavu Provincial Council Chair, Ratu Jo Nawalowalo said they have learnt from the past however they need to move on.
Nawalowalo adds they have written off the vessel and the government has now taken the responsibility of the Bulou ni Ceva.
Meanwhile Nawalowalo said talks are underway to purchase a new shipping vessel but at present the people of Kadavu are provided with ferry services via the Sinuwasa 2.
