Traditional obligations are not something youths have to face, however for the students of Vunisea Secondary School in Kadavu their education is often the price they pay for the sake of their families.
With the theme of "Unheard Voices" the Kadavu school who are coming to this week's FM 96 Tadra Kahani with TFL and Fijivillage for the first time said this is a fact that so many youths go through in Kadavu which is also a sad reality since most who return to the village still have aspirations of continuing their education.
Form 7 student Eseta Kelenavutoka said because of the village hierarchy system and their young age, they're voices are not heard and their talents and knowledge are wasted as a result.
The 80 plus crew from Vunisea Secondary will leave Kadavu tomorrow morning, and will take to the Tadra Kahani stage on Thursday night along with 13 other schools in the Senior Division Finals.
The Junior Division finals will be held tomorrow night at the Vodafone Arena.
