Although the Kadavu Provincial Council had unanimously rejected the Draft People's Charter during their council meeting, the public forum held last week painted a different picture.

According to District Officer Eliki Masa, more than 230 people attended the public forum held in Vunisea and the response from most of the people who attended was positive.

Masa said the same positive response has been received from the four teams currently visiting the nine districts. He adds some of the districts had banned the teams from entering the villages.

Masa said the consultations should end by next week.
