The Management of Kadavu Holdings Limited will today meet with the Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and will try to solve the matter hanging over Kadavu House.
Kadavu Provincial Council Chairman Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said they are hopeful of reaching a resolution after the Interim Prime Minister directed the Interim AG to look into the matter.
Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry had earlier ordered that rent payments for Kadavu house be stopped and an investigation be carried out to determine the real owners of Kadavu house.
Chaudhry also wants clarification on why more than 884 thousand dollars was paid to Kadavu Holdings as rent for the empty office space at Kadavu House.
