The Kadavu Provincial Council is now awaiting a response from Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry to try and settle the dispute over the renting of Kadavu House in Suva.
Council Chairman and Director of Kadavu Holdings Limited Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo told Village they are confident that the matter can be resolved through dialogue.
And it seems that there is a change of tune from Nawalowalo who earlier indicated that legal action could be taken against the Interim Finance Minister if he does not honor the agreement to rent Kadavu House.
Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry earlier instructed that payments for Kadavu House be stopped and an investigation be conducted into how the deal was reached.
