To cater for the increased demands for their services as people prepare for school, the Justice Ministry has decided to extend the opening hours for the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages over the next two weeks.

The Permanent Secretary for Justice Christopher Pryde said recognizing that this is a busy time of the year for many people with school starting soon, they have decided to extend the Registry's opening hours in Suva from 8:30am to 6pm as a temporary measure to assist the public.

The registries in Suva and Lautoka will also open for three hours on Saturday for the next two weeks from 9am to 12pm.

Pryde said they would also like to remind the members of the public that the printing of Birth Certificates can be completed at the Post Fiji outlets at Korovou, Nasinu, Taveuni, Rotuma, Savusavu, Samabula and Nabua.
