The Junior Waratahs rugby side finished their 2 match tour to Fiji on a high note last night with a 14-11 win over the Fiji Warriors.

The Chris Hickey coached side had to rely on the boot of Waratahs Super 14 first five eight Daniel Halangahu to win the game at the stroke of full time after both sides were locked at 11 all.

Hickey was pleased with the performance of his boys as it has test where they stand before they can be drafted into the senior team for next season Super 14 competition.

Warriors coach Reverend Joji Rinakama was pleased with the performance of his boys since most of the key players were unavailable for the match.

Rinakama added the game showed the level of competition in local rugby is improving as his players were able to take on the visitors in some key areas like the scrum, lineout and maul.
