Mai Television is confident that it will start providing free-to-air television services to the public by mid June this year after unforeseen problems caused delays to their plans.
Managing Director Richard Broadbridge confirmed to Fijivillage that there is delay from the suppliers of their transmitters and now they hope to be up and operational by June.
Earlier today, the Interim Communications Minister Tom Ricketts, confirmed that Mai Television, which was supposed to start free-to-air television services from the 5th of next month, has been further delayed.
Ricketts refused to give further details but confirms that more time has been given to Mai TV.
Meanwhile, Ricketts said he needed to check the timeline given to other companies to start their operations as he has not received any other feedbacks.
