The lawyers of Former NLTB Board Member Keni Dakuidreketi, former General Manager Kalivati Bakani and Official Alanieta Vakatale today raised concern that new charges were brought up against their clients by FICAC.

Disclosures were today served to the lawyers, however while the court clerk began reading the charges, Bakani's lawyer Devinesh Sharma asked Justice Paul Madigan for an adjournment, as the charges about to be read out were fresh charges.

Sharma said that it would be prejudicial to his client if a plea was taken as fresh charges were laid and they haven't had time to study the disclosures.

Dakuidreketi's lawyer, Wylie Clark and Vakatale's lawyer, Josaia Waqaivolavola also raised concern about the changes.

Justice Madagan agreed that a plea could not be taken in light of this and adjourned the matter to next Tuesday.

Dakuidreketi, Bakani and Vakatale were charged by FICAC for allegedly conspiring to defraud the NLTB of $3.7 million dollars.
