Fiji's boxing champion Joy Ali's bout against New Zealand based Harry Venkat is now in doubt.
Ali is ready for the fight but Venkat seems to be having problems for next month's fight at the National Gymnasium in Suva.
Speaking from New Zealand, Venkat's manager John Glozier said his boxer is not confirmed for the fight after he injured his hand while during training.
Glozier said they are now waiting for the medical report before deciding the next step, as they don't want to keep promoter Abdul Feroze in the dark.
Meanwhile, Feroze said if Venkat is ruled out, then he has another boxer from New Zealand to take on Joy Ali and his boxing programme will go ahead.
Feroze has lined-up 5 professional and 4 amateur fights in his programme for next month.
