The hard work put in by those working in the media industry was last night recognized by the Fiji Media Council as they presented journalists, news presenters, advertisers and student journalists with recognition and awards.

One of the many that were recognized for her hard work was third year journalism student at the University of the South Pacific and editor for the USP newspaper Wansolwara, Riteshni Singh.

Singh who won the student journalist of the year award for her story on water extraction in the country said the award is the ultimate price for any local journalist.
