Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph believes this could be the Highlanders year to win their first Super Rugby title after his team beat the Chiefs 36‑9 over the weekend.
The Highlanders have assured themselves of a spot in the play offs and Joseph is confident they can go all the way.
The Highlanders have two matches left ‑ against the Hurricanes and the Blues ‑ and the first thing on Joseph's mind is cementing their place in the play offs and booking a home playoff.
After Round 16 of Super Rugby, the Hurricanes continue to top the table with 57 points, second are the Stormers with 43 points while the Waratahs trail in third place with 42 points.
The Brumbies, the Highlanders and the Chiefs have almost certainly qualified for the play offs.
The Lions, the Crusaders and the Bulls have a mathematical chance of reaching the play offs but they will need other results to go their way.
The Hurricanes meet the Highlanders at 7.35pm Friday while the Brumbies meet Western Force at 11pm.
On Saturday, the Rebels meet the Bulls at 5.30pm, the Crusaders face the Blues at 7.35pm while the Chiefs clash with the Reds at 9.40pm.
On Sunday, the Cheetahs face the Waratahs at 1am while the Stormers meet the Lions at 3.05am.
