The focus may be on Beniamino Maravu of Saint Bedes College, Waisake Raselala of Sila Central, Francis Kirikirikula of Suva Grammar and Leone Natusa of Natabua High School but there is a strong possibility that Nabua Secondary School may steal the show in the blue ribbon event in next week’s Coca-Cola Games.

Jone Pio of Nabua is a name to look out for after he clocked a time of 10.60 seconds in last night’s Fiji Games 100 metre heats where he finished second behind Banuve Tabakaucoro.

Pio was a member of the Suva Grammar School quartet that set the Intermediate boys 4x100 metres record in 2011 which includes reigning Coke Games champion Waisale Ledua.

The 18-year-old from Namosi who joined Nabua this year said it is an honor to run with the Pacific’s best and clocking a personal best time in the process.
