Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has reiterated his call for ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and other critics of the interim government to join the process towards taking the country forward.

Speaking from Singapore, Commodore Bainimarama said that Qarase and other critics will not only do better for themselves but for the nation too if they redirected their high level of energy to a meaningful use instead of spending on criticizing the government.

Bainimarama is calling on them to stop deluding themselves by thinking and asking that the country be returned to pre-December 2006 status which saw a high level of corruption, racial discrimination and a slow return to better economic growth.

He said the international community is also helping Fiji return to democracy, recognizing the fact that there is no turning back.

Commodore Bainimarama said Qarase and other people who think like him should seriously take up the offer by joining the brave people and organizations who are currently assisting in taking the country forward.

He said the door to the National Council for Building a Better Fiji is still open to Qarase and others.
