Job losses are not being looked at right now.

That is the statement by the Attorney General and Public Enterprise Minister, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum when asked whether the restructure of the Fiji Electricity Authority would mean job losses.

Sayed Khaiyum said that at the moment, Government is looking at the profitability of divesting Government shares without losing control of FEA and that it is too early to say anything at all but stresses the survey will be conducted first.

Last week the announcement was made where Government would look at the restructure of FEA, as well as the Government Printery to ensure private sector development in the country.

Expressions of interest have already been called from people interested in helping in the restructure.
