The Education Ministry has a new Acting Permanent Secretary who has taken over from Filipe Jitoko.

Rokobua Naiyaga who was Deputy Secretary Professional in the Ministry started with her new job today.

Naiyaga, a teacher by profession who taught for over 20 years then joined the Prime Minister’s office in 2003 then returned to the Education Ministry in 2008.

Meanwhile, the former Permanent Secretary Filipe Jitoko has taken up the Social Policy Advisor post at the Forum Secretariat.
