The Leader of Jezreel Lion of Judah Jone Cokanauto has been charged with another count of rape.
It is alleged that the rape occurred in Nadera in 2005.
The state filed and served disclosures before Justice Priyantha Fernando and sought time to file the information.
The matter has been adjourned to 22nd February for the state to file the information.
Cokanauto’s bail has been continued.
Cokanauto is facing another count of rape and indecent assault.
These two alleged incidents occurred in Nasinu.
He is also facing a separate rape charge in Taveuni.
Still on the issue of rapes,
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says there were 13 people charged with a total of 20 separate incidents of serious sexual offences in December.
The offences consisted of 16 rape cases, one attempted rape and three sexual assault cases.
There were 12 victims of 20 separate incidents.
Two were between the ages of 3 and 10, while five were between the ages of 11 and 17.
There was one serious sexual offence that involved a priest where the victim was a seven-year-old girl.
The DPP’s Office is not releasing details about this case as the matter is before the court.
There was one serious sexual offence that involved a couple in a domestic relationship and two serious sexual offences that involved stepfathers where one of the victims was a special needs child.
